New Standards for Plasma Proteomics

Plasma

Plasma is a rich source of protein biomarkers; it can be used to reveal disease biology, measure responses to therapeutic treatments and for diagnostic and prognostic purposes.

Identifying novel biomarkers with bottom-up proteomics remains a substantial challenge due to the wide concentration ranges and potentially low abundance of important analytes. However, high-throughput methods that utilize sensitive, label-free data-independent acquisition (DIA) can offer greater workflow efficiency without compromising analytical depth.

This application note introduces a novel mass spectrometer for plasma proteomics that delivers significantly higher proteome coverage and throughput compared to current instruments.

  • The advantages and disadvantages of various plasma sample preparation techniques
  • A new, preoptimized method that offers maximum depth of proteome coverage
  • Novel LC-MS solutions to expedite your proteomics workflow
